Community Garden

By Lainey Peveto

I read a quote one day it left me a mess
It said to be lucky is to deprive another of it
I wonder if that whats happening to us now?
Cause i just cant seem to find the pot of gold at the end

I took a walk around the neighbor hood
And the community garden was dead
The flowers we planted hung their so low
And the weeds we picked grew back

My brain is rotten and im plagued with guilt
Staying up late racking my mind
Rewinding all the things i said
watching myself like a ghost in the corner
Haunting my every move
The things i said to you
