Writing Prompts of the day

Dear Readers and Writers,

Here are some writing prompts to start your day! Take a moment, grab a seat wherever you’re comfortable, and grab your favorite writing tools. Whether or not this would be your laptop or clacky keyboard, or your journal and feather quill, anything will suffice.

Grab your timer and set it for 10 minutes, and write based on the following prompt:

You are walking down a dirt road. Describe the road, describe the path in front of you, and what you pass on your way to your destination. Suddenly, you look down to see an item in the middle of the road. What is it?

Write down anything you can think of. Here are some rules:

1) Do not stop writing, no matter what errors you make.

2) Do not think, just go!

3) Write aggressively, and with strength behind each word.

Once the 10 minutes is up, stand up, stretch, and then get comfortable again. Take a sip of water or coffee, and get ready to write once more.

You will set a timer for 20 minutes this time, and for this prompt, create the world in which you and this item have some sort of connection. What does this item mean to you? How does coming across it change or affect your journey? Spend your time going back to the dirt road, create your character, and create a short writing sprint based on this information.

Good luck, and write away!
